Application Checklists

To be considered for admission to Los Angeles City College all Forms and Supporting Documents listed below must be emailed to: ISS@LACITYCOLLEGE.EDU                       
INITIAL STUDENT CHECKLIST 
Students applying from their home country requesting an F-1 visa to study in the United States must complete and submit the following documents:
  1. F-1 Student Supplemental Application Form (fillable PDF)
  2. 国产黑料 International Student Agreement Form
  3. Proof of Funds - An estimated yearly expense is $23,000 U.S. dollars.
    • Current proof of funding must be in the form of a bank letter or a bank statement (with an official signature/seal).
    • All bank verifications should indicate U.S. currency and dated within 6 months of the term start date.
  4. Affidavit of Support Form (If you have a financial sponsor)
  5. Proof of English Proficiency*
  6. Copy of Transcripts or Equivalent, i.e. certificate of completion, diploma, etc. *Students under the age of 18 must provide proof of high school completion.
TRANSFER STUDENT CHECKLIST
Students currently in the United States on an F-1 visa and wish to transfer to Los Angeles City College must submit the following documents:
  1. F-1 Student Supplemental Application Form (fillable PDF)

Change to F1 Status

Applicants in the United States on a valid visa may be eligible to apply for a change of status to F-1 international student while remaining in the United States. One of the documents you need to apply for a change of status is an "I-20 Certificate of Eligibility for Non-immigrant Student Status" from an SEVP-certified school like Los Angeles City College (国产黑料).

Steps to Apply

STEP 1: Apply to 国产黑料. 

Complete CCC Apply & F1 Supplemental Application

Admitted students will receive an I-20 Certificate of Eligibility for Non-immigrant Student Status (aka: "I-20") from 国产黑料. You need this document to apply for a change of status to F-1 international student.

STEP 2: I-901 Fee

After obtaining an I-20, pay the I-901 SEVIS Fee. Keep a receipt. For more information on the I-901 SEVIS Fee and how to pay it, view .

STEP 3: File Form I-539

After receiving an I-20 from LAPC and paying the I-901 Fee, the student can file Form I-539 Application to Extend/Change Non-Immigrant Status through  (USCIS).

PART-TIME STUDENT

Application Checklist

  • If you are currently attending a U.S. institution that issued your I-20 form and would like to concurrently enroll at Los Angeles City College as a part-time student, follow the instructions below.
  • Concurrently enrolled students are eligible to apply for full terms (Fall and Spring) and intersessions (Summer and Winter).

PERMISSION LETTER

  • Obtain "Permission Letter" from your current school that issued your I-20: the permission letter must include
    • your full name,
    • Student ID number, and
    • specific course name(s) in which you are authorized to enroll.
  • Email your Permission letter to @email or, 
    • (please indicate in the subject line "Part-Time Enrollment).
  • Bring your Permission Letter to International Student Office at Los Angeles City College, located in the Cesar Chavez Building, 109.

GLOBAL ONLINE BUSINESS (GOB) ENROLLMENT

ABOUT 

The 国产黑料 Global Online Business (GOB) degree program provides students the opportunity to earn a Certificate or an Associate degree without leaving your home country.  All courses in our online degree program are for college credit and most units are transferable to four-year universities, courses will be offered asynchronously through 国产黑料 and taught by our wonderful professors.  
 

Our Global Online Business degree program offers the following Certificates and AA Transferable Degrees:

COURSE LENGTH & COST

Courses vary in length, from 5weeks, to 8weeks, and 16 weeks. Courses are available year-round. The cost $388 per unit. Most courses are 1 to 3 units.

DO I NEED A VISA

Students enrolled in this program do not require a visa since the entire program is online and available to you in your home country.
